Existing climate remote (1284) does not set the "on" bit when it sends a temperature so it only works if the unit is already powered on. This remote--link to GH sends the on bit for every command. Additionally, it supports vertical swing modes and implements some of the special commands like "minimum heat" and "eco" mode.
