[Feature request] Button to refresh title/description of a bookmark #551
Comments
I've recently started using linkding and I've imported a ton of my bookmarks by first converting from my custom-format-file to .html linkding expects, but without title/description. I'd now like linkding to pick those up from the original URL. This works when I'm adding a new bookmark, but I'd like to have title/description for imported ones too :) Doing it by hand won't work for me because of the sheer number of bookmarks. |
* Added button to refresh bookmark * implemented cache workaround. Refresh does not save metadata * refresh now saves to database * fixed tests to use cache, like originial behavior * added test for disabling the cache * fixed bug with checkUrl always disabling the server's cache --------- Co-authored-by: “Teknicallity” <“”>
I'm wondering if this would be good as just a refresh button on the new/edit bookmark page, or also as an optional bookmark action button (similar to view, edit, archive, remove) on every bookmark entry. |
Hi Sascha,
Sometimes I want to fetch the latest title/description of bookmarks. It would be amazing if there is a button on every bookmark page which re-fetches the data. :)
Temporary workaround: Right now I cut and then paste the url once again to trigger re-fetching.
