Is there a good basic example of using customBlock?

The customBlock feature looks really amazing, but I'm having a hard time understanding how to start with the embedBuilder? Is there a good working simple example document with it? I tried to use the blocks of code in the readme file but I don't know how to link that up with my QuillEditor....
