So what I would like to do is handle what is done after the tag for the new version and the changelog note is generated by myself. I would like to disable pushing to the repo, but I will need to grab the new tag version and the changelog inside the plugin and do some stuff with them by myself.
Could someone let me know if this is possible via creating a custom plugin? Don't want to start digging into it to be disappointed that it's not possible to skip a particular stage.
I was also considering just dry-running and grabbing this data and use it later. Maybe someone has done something like this before? If so then what would the best approach be. Grabbing this data by regex, might be a little bit annoying, but of course doable.

I'll appreciate any suggestions and tips.
