None of the AppImages work

I used a Scribus AppImage some months ago but now it no longer works and segfaults:

Segmentation fault

I tried the AppImages of newer/older versions and it's the same thing... Surprisingly the package manager version works fine, and even more surprisingly the AppImage works only when the package manager version is installed. I thought maybe there's a library that's missing from the AppImage so I tried installing the package's dependencies (alone) one-by-one but the problem remained, even with all dependencies installed.
