The queer anarchist movement highlighted anarchist social revolution as a means toward queer liberation. The pink and black were commonly used in protest imagery and associated with anti-assimilationist, anti-capitalist movements.

I'll be honest, I don't know what do do about this one at this stage. I knew coming into this project that I would need to figure out how to represent the political nature of our history fairly, and here we are.

I certainly don't want to erase the political history of liberation, as it does an utter disservice to those who fought and died for what we have today (Stonewall was a riot, after all). The part I don't know is how to fit this into the site. Part of this is not wanting to align this website with any specific ideologies. I feel that whatever I add to the site will make people reflect its content back to me, since my name is written at the bottom (and even if I remove my name, my name is still against it in GitHub).

I don't think any of the existing categories really fit this flag. I don't think it fits within the "Everyone" category because it doesn't represent everybody's ideas and ideals, but it's also not a "Friends of the community" because it's a part of the community by definition. I know I will need to re-think the categorisation at some point (especially when alternate designs and sub-identities are introduced), so I'll kick the can down the road and deal with this later.

For now, I'm going to leave this issue open. I hope you (and anyone reading this in the future) can see a bit of my perspective here. I'll finish this off with a thanks for your flag requests. This site needs them.
