If you've typed in a custom filter (reviewer tags, for example), you will still see the text in the filter after changing the track filter or navigating to another page and back, but the filter will no longer be applied.
Steps to reproduce: filter by a keyword (status: accepted, for example), change the track, lose the filtering but still see the phrase in the text box.

I don't see anything that should cause the different datatables to behave differently. Perhaps this will be fixed when we upgrade to Rails 6 and have to redo the assets to not use asset gems: https://www.datatables.net/upgrade/1.10-convert
