Hi, I just installed a nice voice from Piper and am using it with the FF extension. the problem is when I increase the speed, the voice is much higher, high pitch, and it becomes unbearable to listen to it like this.
lowering the pitch in the FF setting doesn't seem to change anything …
How can I get a nice Piper voice at higher speed w/o higher pitch?

I only just discovered Piper so a grain of salt here, but can't you just change the speed by passing --length_scale when generating the sample?
I changed it from 1.0 to 0.6 with the Amy model and the speed is pretty good without any pitch changing. Doesn't have any annunciation / cutoff issues that I can see so far.
