The original example from @kid-icarus uses the nconf lib to read in config from local.json, which is in the .gitignore for privacy etc. This is going to make deployment considerably more complicated so I'm just hard-coding the port here for now, but that might cause other problems down the road.

Not sure what the best route here is?
