Hello, and thanks so much for working on this wonderful project! Goldwarden is super very helpful and convenient and I don't know how I lived for so long without it. I'd like to report my observations of some issues, which will hopefully help make Goldwarden better.

Following the most recent update to 0.3.1 I've noticed autotype is no longer functional, at least on my machine. On the previous version it worked flawlessly. Upon complete removal (uninstall + user data removal), logging in on 0.3.1 is also failing, both via GUI and CLI. I reverted to commit 965112b0516fad860ba89e5331fe3a57c930fb3453a693949b78a9f9344f1743 (2.16) via Flatpak, and both log in (via CLI) and autotype work again.

Initial experience, before uninstalling:

  1. Unlock Goldwarden
  2. Open a web log in interface
  3. Trigger bound autotype shortcut, vault opens
  4. Select entry and hit enter, nothing happens <- previously this would autotype both username/mail and password
  5. Copy password by CTRL+p, vault closes
  6. Paste password into the web log in interface

Experience after complete removal:

  1. Install Goldwarden (newest)
  2. Set PIN upon opening
  3. Log in via GUI, fails multiple times ("Bad password", "failure at pre- and/or post-", etc)
  4. Log in via CLI, also fails multiple times after following instructions in both sections here (typically connection errors)
  5. Downgrade to 2.16
  6. Unlock vault & log in via CLI
  7. Open a web log in interface
  8. Trigger bound autotype shortcut, vault opens
  9. Select entry and hit enter, Remote interaction permission pop-up appears
  10. Check remember selection & allow, password is autotyped

Attempts are done from the same machine with the same network connection, on Fedora Silverblue 40 (GNOME 46).

Hope this this report is of use and can be solved!
