Invisible to other memberss

Hello, Someone on qTox tried to friend me, but says I’m not visible. And someone else, who I’ve communicated extensively with in the past is showing offline, when I know he is online, because the first person says she can see that he’s online. I tried to message him as usual, but have had no reply to s few messages. I think I must be invisible to him as well. I thought I should perhaps update the software, as there have been a few new versions since, but I thought the updates were automatic, since
the ox “Check for updatess” is checked. I don’t know how to update manually. When I click “Update Available”, I get taken to GitHub, which is for developers. Please help. Thank you!

i think the person unfriended you, ask them to add you again. both remove each other and add again.

Thank you, but the person wrote to me through another qTox member to say that he was trying to reach me as well and wondered why I hadn’t responded. He did not unfriend me. (And the other qTox member tried to add me and couldn’t find me.) So I don’t think that it would work to remove him and have him remove me and add each other again. I think there is something wrong with my qTox. It may be that it needs upgrading. I have version v1.17.3 and the latest is v1.17.6. I tried to upgrade but either I don’t know how or it isn’t working. (I clicked the green button that says Upgrade Available, but it took me to GitHub where I was able to report this to you, but not upgrade.) Also, my settings include “check for upgrade”, but it hasn’t worked to upgrade me automatically. Can you upgrade my account for me? Or is there another way to address this? it does not upgrade automatically, you need to uninstal current version and download latest version and install.

Thanks. I tried something else. I opened a new account with a different email, and it seems to be working fine now.
