Una buena opción es https://github.com/ics-py/ics-py, tiene una API más o menos bonita y está bien documentada.

Otra alternativa es https://github.com/collective/icalendar, no tan bonito pero antiguo y seguro que sólido, hecho por la gente de Plone.

Y por último, https://github.com/allenporter/ical es muy joven pero tiene buena pinta.
