Now it is a built-in feature of Firefox itself. TST has a project policy that simulating features of Firefox itself as possible as we can. This it is now in the scope...
I've tried Firefox's tab preview feature.
Previews are available only when rendered pages. When I activate the feature with discarded tabs, previews won't be shown until those tabs are restored.
Previews are shown with hover on a tab, and the popup is shown below the hovered tab.
In TST's sidebar, preview below the hovered tab looks not good because it blocks to access to the tab behind the preview popup. It will be very bad user experience.
But we cannot show popup beside the sidebar easily. We need to show it as an embedded contents in the active tab. It may introduce security risks.
