which used to make overflowing tables scrollable on the x-axis has now been replaced with
<tableclass="overflow-auto">
(...)
</table>
I am just curious as to why this change was made, what reasoning went behind it etc. I am not arguing but rather trying to learn.
I feel like the old solution that was something like this:
figure:has(table){
overflow: auto;
}
worked pretty much flawlessly but since you made the change there must have been something I am not considering or thinking about and I would like to learn more about this by asking for your thoughts as to why the change was made.
I can see how it makes more semantic sense that a table is a table and a table also being a figure would be a stretch to assume naturally that it is a scrollable table. But I liked the syntax and for now I do add my own CSS to support it.
