My Kobo Libra Colour Turned Into Dark Mode And Now It Won't Change Back #160
Comments
Are you sure you did dark mode rather than invert screen? Either way, you should be able to see the setting in the Uninstalling NM the way you said is fine (it's actually one of the easiest ways). |
Hi Patrick! Thank you for responding to me. Yes, I tried checking and unchecking the dark mode and it kinda did it in reverse. Because when I downloaded the "command" file, it turned pretty much everything dark mode including the book covers, manga, and e books designs. When I check dark mode in the settings, it stays pretty much the same except for the ebooks, which turns into light mode instead. I was playing with the Kobo and NickelMenu this morning to see what I could do to fix it. I tapped the Screen Invert Toggle. And that got rid of the dark mode. So, now I have it back to it's normal color. And dark mode is functioning normally. Do you think I still need to change anything with the Kobo eReader.conf file? Oh...well...that's actually very convenient :) |
It appears that you did initially do the invert screen (which requires a reboot to apply). Thus, when you tried to toggle dark mode after a reboot, it was on an already inverted screen. You don't need to change the Kobo eReader.conf file; that was just to undo the invert screen if you had already removed NM. I should probably update the site at some point with a big note about this, or even add a required |
Hi!
I ran into a problem when I was installing NickelMenu for my Kobo Libra COlour screen savers. When I installed the NickelMenu, and downloaded the "command" file, it turned my Kobo into Dark Mode. And the Dark Mode setting is not even checked on the Kobo settings. And even if I try to uncheck it, it stays the same.
As a result, I may have done something even more stupid. I don't know how to create this "file" to uninstall the NickelMenu. Instead, I copied the "command" file and change the file name to "uninstall." It uninstalled the NickelMenu. But it did not change the dark mode.
What do I do? Can you please help me? I want to change it back to it's original settting and uninstall the NickelMenu.
I look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
Kristine Charis Ramirez
