right click on an actor and select "edit metadata", scroll down to the bottom and hit "Lock this item to prevent future changes" after adding the actor image. |
thanks for the answer, |
thank you for clarifying. thats quite disturbing news, i will do a backup just in case. I'm going to look at some older stuff in the library to see if everything still checks out. |
what version of jellyfin are you using? latest at the time of your comment was 10.9.11, just asking because pdulvps qnap package is still on 10.9.10 and this behavior might only surface on 10.9.11? because in my library with a lot of edited actors all is still well and unchanged and I have all the jellyfin jobs still running |
Hi, |
Hello, I manually added missing images of actors in jellyfin. It took me several weeks of work. Yesterday I realized that jellyfin had deleted many of them without my permission.
I think jellyfin does an automatic refresh of images in the background by searching on the internet. It then deletes these images if they are not available even if I added them myself.
Is there a way to protect my images while letting jellyfin search for images when I add new episodes.
Jellyfin is installed in 'container station' on my 'Qnap' server.
Luckily I had a backup of my actors on my pc. Thanks for any suggestions
