How to label mathjax equations to the right of the equation and not above?

I have this example.rst:

Example
=======

Assume you have a set of data points :math:`\{(x_1, y_1), (x_2, y_2), \dots, (x_n, y_n)\}`
and you want to find the best line that fits these points in the plane.
The equation for the line is of the form:

.. math::
   :label: eq-line

   y = \beta_0 + \beta_1 x

where :math:`\beta_0` is the intercept and :math:`\beta_1` is the slope.
To reference the above equation, we use :eq:`eq-line`.

Running sphinx-build -M html . _build with the rtd theme gives the following (screenshot):

Notice that the equation number is placed above the equation, I want to have it to the right of the equation instead. How can I do that?
