Dogfood inlang VS Code extension with Paraglide JS & Fink

Problem

Currently, the VS Code extension is only in English, which is a problem for users who might not speak the language.

Proposal

Dogfood inlang VS Code extension with Paraglide JS & Fink.

1. Extract all user-facing strings and replace them with m functions
2. Create a setting for the display language of the user and default it to the vs code setting/system setting.
3. Have users contribute various languages to the IDE extension via Fink

Outcome: An internationalized extension that is also available in other languages, therefore has a higher conversion rate & shows the power of the ecosystem.

Multi-language support in the extension would probably serve more as marketing than anything else, since the vast majority of developers probably use english (do you know anyone who doesn't?). We still benefit from Fink, Linting and centralised translations, so this would still have value for us!

The question is if this is done as a conscious migration where we dedicate sone time to it, or as an ongoing process where messages get extracted and translated as we encounter them. You're probably best equipped to make that call.

• we already dogfood paraglide js and fink. an additional app likely brings no new insights.
• i18n the distribution channels makes more sense than the app itself as step 1 e.g. the vscode marketplace (but you can't do this)

Sorry for the confusion, we use Fink to translate the website. Yes, that's right.
Fink itself is not yet dogfooded.

2 months later and nobody has asked for this: I'll close this discussion as currently not planned.

We can reopen it if we deem the time right to localize the App UI of Sherlock, or if the community urges us to do so.
