I need help regarding a requirement shared below, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Goal:
My objective is to automate some process on Gemini, a platform that requires login via Gmail. I intend to use either Katalon Studio or Selenium with Java for the automation process. However, the challenge lies in the authentication process since Gemini mandates login via Gmail.

To tackle this challenge, I'm in need of a solution that allows saving either a logged-in user's profile, cookies, or any other method that facilitates authentication. It's crucial that this solution is free and open-source.

If possible, try to avoid using Selenium and use the API directly.

Google itself provides an API and a Python package google-generativeai to use said interface. It will likely save you tons of hours. The solution is open source.

To use this API, you will need an API key. No need to go tango with Gmail or passwords. If you are interested, here is the official documentation. It also tells you how to get the key. In total, it's just a few lines of code.

So... if you insist doing it the hard way you could do it all with Selenium, as you mentioned.
Selenium allows you to interact with websites programmatically. So you could do the whole sign in process that way, selecting the right input html-elements, inserting the relevant information and send. Since Selenium still uses a standard browser, it will save the cookies (given you have allowed cookies in the browser).

If you want to be on the safe side, you can even save all cookies in a file and load them again later. The process is described here.

Again, my personal recommendation is to use the Python package by Google. It will save you a lot of frustration.
