I have a private GitHub-NPM package hosted on GitHub, requiring authentication via an npm account with a username and auth token provided by the package owner. My goal is to streamline the authentication process so that dependency installation via 'npm i' in the terminal does not require manual entry of authentication details

If you are installing inside a GitHub Actions workflow, you can access GITHUB_TOKEN to authenticate. It is pretty seamless and require no manual entry. Here's the doc for it.

Hey @KittyChiu,

Actually we are able to have auth, but we need to login to npm in the first instance.

We are looking for something which eliminates this login manually and let's say the key for auth will be accessed automatically from .npmrc or .bashrc without the manual intervention.

So, in terminal if we give the "npm i" command the key will be checked automatically without npm login.
