Looking for some help with recovering a github account for a client. Previous developer unavailable permanently

Hey y'all, currently trying to log into a new client's account but can't get past MFA. We currently have no way of verifying the MFA request and need to update payment info asap, as well as allow me to begin making improvements. I have access to the client's admin email associated with the account and have him on standby for when the payment info can be updated. Not sure what to do here as it's been about week since I've opened a ticket with GitHub with no response. The client is not the most technically inclined and as the title mentioned, the previous dev has passed away. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any tips would be helpful.
