Users Should Be Able to View / Keep Track Of All Their GitHub Activities ( Significant / Insignificant User Activities )
Also Users Should Be Able To View Their Recent Activity in Feed ( can be disabled in settings )
Tip
This will prove to be very helpful, especially in cases when a threat actor gains an unauthorized access to a GitHub account
or launches a GitHub operation, illegally using user credentials ( identity theft or other malicious activities ) or any unauthorized access without use of user credentials.
Caution
Developers are in fact entry points to most of the entirety of worldwide cyber attacks;
Which means that adding the ( View my Activity feature ) and ( View my Recent Activity in Feed Feature ) would be really valuable
as it would help many users protect their identity / account before it's too late.
For example:
a cyber attack happens suddenly to a specific user, through ( GitHub built-in Notifications, User-feed that shows Recent User Activity, or the private View My Activity Feature ), by the implementation of the two features mentioned above, the user would have more chances of getting an instant glimpse of the cyber-attack as he would see unusual activities in his feed , or private user activity feed or through the GitHub built-in Notifications ( optional as normal activities won't show up on notifications ) which is completely better than the >>> Current State of users without a feed that showcases the user activity, current users have less chances of finding out about the suspicious activities, or maybe they would find out when it's too late
Warning
🇵🇸 : Security emails aren't really much helpful compared to the usefulness of this feature ,
Some cyber attacks are so well-done that it is considered as a normal user activity not a suspicious one
if The user sees a normal activity that they didn't launch by themselves then they might find out about the cyber threat
and perhaps be able to protect themself and secure their account or/and identity.
