I ran brew home gperf and got https://www.gnu.org/software/gperf. Not sure where to go from there. The tar has a README in it, but it doesn't seem it goes into licensing.

I opened src/bool-array.cc and at the top it does say 3 or later.

Ok if anyone else is wondering the solution is changing license "GPL-3.0" to license "GPL-3.0-or-later" I think.

The solution is figuring out which license applies and updating the formula to represent that license, yes

Thx for confirming! The error message became clearer to me after searching "or-later" in the repo. I initially thought -or-later was a flag to be added to the brew audit.

I’ll create a PR to discuss appending a link to License Guidelines to the error message.
