Iterating on email notification template?

Now that @scottveirs is sending out notifications using the moderator UI, it may be time to iterate on the email template. It's super important because it's one of the main pathways for listeners to get to the site. Here's what it currently looks like:

Some of my initial questions:

• What's the history of the notification template? Has anyone already done UX research on it?
• This is at the intersection of analytics & design. Do we have anyone dedicated to the analytics side at the moment? (@UXBrendan I know you keep an eye on the stats). Who should handle it? And how should collaboration with the design side work?
• What kind of metrics and tooling do we need to set up?
