This could be even more helpful if we can transform the collected data in something more manageable (e.g. using tags) in a way that people can directly search for it.

I think a static site generator + Github CI + a JS search engine (something like lunr I guess) could be the way to go

I've been thinking about this for a bit. We originally created this list to follow the sindresorhus/awesome list model, but haven't ever integrated with their umbrella list due to some somewhat onerous contrib requirements.

That said, I'd like to make something that autogenerates from the awesome list markdown file and therefore could be reused by other lists (or repos that follow a similar layout. Markdown generally makes the basic easy, but I like the CI/linter step and love the idea of lunr (very on message 😉).

If anyone wants to take lead on this I'd be happy to review and contribute as well.
