Context

open any repo with fink. the console shows a 401 and fink shows "no access to repo"

  • Only logging in and refreshing solve the problem at the moment
  • The repo loads correctly, but the 403 error is added as an lix error and the error card is shown
  • Does not occur in development

@jan.johannes Any idea what changed?

These are the errors I get

we are investigating to get rid of github. enough is enough. according to @jan.johannes we are running into rate limits (wtf)

It works again. We could invest more time and build work around rate limits and what API keys are used, but IMO time is better spend in investigating https://github.com/orgs/opral/discussions/2975, even though we stay with GitHub in the short term.

@jan.johannes If you agree, I will close this issue. Otherwise, we need to check where we pile up all the requests and formulate a plan to solve this issue like removing the Fink preview for public repos to always use the users GitHub key.
