There is a commonly used project for automations all the hassle with "let's encrypt" : https://github.com/Neilpang/acme.sh
It looks not that difficult to incorporate in any dev-ops pipeline , fabric-starter included.
Certificate issuance looks like this:
acme.sh --issue -d example.com -w /home/wwwroot/example.com
