Expected Behavior

I am trying to use reMarkable's desktop app screen share as an input source to OBS, so I can write on the tablet and show the output in streams. I am using the "Window Capture" source.

Current Behavior

The capture has fundamental issues:

  • In "BitBit" capture method, OBS just captures the initial content of the window and never updates when I write new text after that, even though the window on the PC is clearly updating.
  • In "Windows 10" capture method, OBS fails to capture any window content.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Attempt to capture the reMarkable desktop app's screen share window (showing live handwriting from the tablet) as a "Window Capture" source

Anything else we should know?

I am happy to help debug and contribute a fix if some basic mentoring instructions can be given.
