Hi,

In the documentation it is suggested that preview generation can be limited to specific sizes. This is useful as we can avoid generating sizes that are not needed, or at least rarely used. NC will generate ok demand any sizes anyway.

So to help me (and other users) it would be great if we could make a list of sizes used by, or required by various apps and situations.

For example the Recognize app requires 1024px previews. Other apps need different sizes depending on list or grid mode, but also the device size and orientation (portrait/landscape mode)

List of apps with different sized previews:

  • NC Android/IOS App
    • list mode
    • grid mode
  • Memories App
    • portrait mode
    • landscape mode
  • WebUI - for both mobile and desktop browsers
    • Files list mode
    • Files grid mode
    • Photos app
    • Memories app
  • ...

Here are some. Examples:
