Combability with .Net 6 #66
Comments
I tried, however the author used some internal api from the postgres driver that were renamed or is just not there anymore. |
Hello, is there any plans to support NET 6? at the moment, only because of this library we cannot switch to a new platform (I don’t want to change your library to another, but I want to change the platform ...) |
@dimkadv2 We had to switch over to the "commercial alternative" of this library. No .NET 6 support is a no-go and even with .NET 5 it crashed the Azure Postgres Flexible server, since its not 100% binary comatible apparently... |
Hello everybody, thank you for the interest to this project. First of all I need to say that this all was started as a tiny side project which I used in my primary job. But now it became too hard to me to support it, so I do it very slow. And thus I can't guarantee anything regarding bug fixes and improvements. So I really do understand that you have to switch to commercial alternatives. I would do the same.. On the other hand moving to .net6 is also what I'm going to do on my primary project, so I spend some time today to move Npgsql.Bulk to .Net6. It should be supported now. If possible please check. |
In a few mounts the .Net 6 will be released.
We use already .Net 6 Preview for many our project.
Npgsql.Bulk is not compatible with .Net 6 and it will be great if someone can fix it.
