Hey, May I work on this issue? |

Hi @Priyaraj17, This is an open-ended question. It probably only makes sense to work on it if you have expertise in epidemiology and have studied effects of vaccination on population during epidemics. Also, you will need some robust vaccination data for different countries. As maintainers, we are not experts in this are and are not sure how to approach any of these problems. But you are free to try, of course. P.S. To clarify, the user mabinraja above is not a part of the team and I am no sure who they are thanking. |
As several countries ramp up for massive vaccination campaigns it seems important to account for that in the model predictions especially when looking several months ahead.
I guess a most basic implementation should be quite simple having as input: vaccination start date, vaccination efficiency and rate of vaccination (per week). It would then adjust the susceptible population each day accordingly.
A more complex implementation could be similar to the mitigation scenarios where the vaccination input parameters could be adjusted differently for different periods.
