What version of Music Assistant has the issue?

2.0.2

What version of the Home Assistant Integration have you got installed?

2024.5.1

Have you tried everything in the Troubleshooting FAQ and reviewed the Open and Closed Issues and Discussions to resolve this yourself?

  • Yes

The problem

This happens when playing a playlist from YouTube Music. It plays a song and when it's over, it doesn't skip to the next one. But the second counter goes up:

How to reproduce

  1. Open a playlist on YouTube Music
  2. Wait until song is over
  3. it won't skip to the next one

Thanks for your reply. Same as for my other issue here.

As mentioned in the original report, I'm using YouTube Music as music provider and Home Assistant MediaPlayers as player provider. Haven't tried any other providers, means I cannot tell if this happens with other music or player providers.

  • Playback and commands are initiated via UI.
  • No complex network setup for the speakers: Home Assistant and speakers are in the same VLAN and can communicate directly
  • Playing media itself works fine, except for the playlist bug described above
  • Speakers are not grouped

Just tried this with DLNA music provider, there it skips to the next track automatically when selecting a playlist. So this also seems to be an issue with Home Assistant MediaPlayers player provider.

Just for reference, the speaker I'm using is a Bose SoundTouch 10, integrated into Home Assistant via Bose SoundTouch integration.

I think this is related to the other issue but I will leave this open for now.

Also have this issue with a custom playlist created with Youtube music and HA speakers. The song that is selected and playing, will just keep repeating.

@robimac04 Have you tried with QUEUE FLOW MODE enabled in the player settings?
