Why GeomPointsTestCase is marked as broken?

hi:
i want show a lot of points on 2d or 3d map. I notice the library provide the Points class. So i use GeomPointsTestCase test it. But it was marked as broken and didnot show any points.
Why GeomPointsTestCase is marked as broken and What method do you recommend for displaying a large number of points and their names？

Vector points would probably be a better choice. Take a look at one of the symbol or icon examples.
