Add Blacklist option for plugins #663
Comments
Thanks @tank-trax, that's a good idea. Also it's worth investigating those plug-ins that crash in Giada and don't crash in other hosts. Feel free to open issues if you want to. |
the list is too numerous, I could provide one but it would be very time consuming I have a lot on my plate at the moment, however I will get around to providing this list at some point hopefully in the near future thanks |

One of the main issues I encounter with Giada is scanning plugins as it tends to crash very often when scanning. Currently the workaround solution is to remove the problematic plugins (VST2 and VST3) from the scanning folders or create a separate plugin folder with links specifically for Giada, both of which are time consuming. These plugins load in all other hosts.
My suggestion is to create a blacklist so that once a plugin crashes Giada it will no longer try to rescan that particular plugin.
Thanks
