I wish you would implement a really user-friendly ancestry view where it is easy to see ancestor and sub classes to a term and the relationships between them.

The node pages have a section called Hierarchy, that we may have accidentally made a little hard to find. We moved it to below the Associations section. We don't explicit show anything about the kind of association right now, but it's limited to subclass_of associations.
Is this roughly what you were looking for? If so, we'll take this issue as very helpful feedback that we need to increase visibility of this section, if not, let me know what would make this section more useful for you.
(secondarily, we also have http://ols.monarchinitiative.org that hosts development versions of ontologies, though it's largely intended for internal use, and we allow it to have quite a bit more downtime than a production service)
