I'm not sure that this is worth the effort. Based on Troy Hunt's assessment of the data dump it's unlikely that these files will be updated at all in his opinion. From the article summary:
Also, there is now an option to query the online database which is presumably the most up to date version of the data. |
I think it's worth adding such a feature as new versions of the downloadable corpus are still being released (it's at version 8 as of December 2021). |

it would be really nice if this plugin can give an alert (for example at start) if there is a newer version of password-list available at haveibeenpwnd (for example check by filename)
