Proposal: TabGridView

Summary

Tabbed UI'are are of great use especially in tools like teminal

Apps like PowerShell ISE have this, whilst web browsers tend not to in my experience.

Rationale

  • More Dev and User choice in UI Layouts
  • Enables easier reshuffling of apps between different window sizes
  • would help close this issue in terminal
  • Can prevent having to waste time in scrolling to find the tab that you were looking for

(removed scope section as that could be added in a comment by others with more understanding of this process.)

I think they may be talking about having tabs on more than a single line...

indeed I was meaning tabs on more than 1 line, hence asking for tabgridview & as mentioned in the linked issue too

Forgive me for being presumptuous, but the reason why it's almost impossible to see multi line tab pages in modern UI design is probably because it leaves users feeling overwhelmed.
And I think using horizontal navigation would be better for your needs.
