Layout -> RelativePanel [WinUI 3 v2.5.0] #1694
Comments
Looks like the relative panel does not allow the expander to stretch properly, I'll have a look at that. For adding better |
@niels9001 As for the link I provided, I meant the implementation examples as an example for RelativePanel. You can use others, but in my opinion there is too much content explaining the meaning of controls, instead of presenting them with examples to engage the user in some change, to see how the operation causes changes in a specific control. |
Agreed, it could use some work, and ideally, doc samples are (somewhat) in sync with the Gallery samples. Do you want to take a stab at it? |
What do you mean?: |
Is this something you would like to work on and contribute to the WinUI Gallery? |
Thank you for the offer. In my current job I have projects related to WinUI 3. As for introducing improvements to WinUI 3 Gallery, it's a matter of agreement with the creators of this application ;) |

Description
I suggest explaining the RelativePanel control better, to distinguish it from StackPanel or Grid.
From Microsoft's website: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-app-sdk/api/winrt/microsoft.ui.xaml.controls.relativepanel?view=windows-app-sdk-1.6
Chapter: Conflicting relationships
It describes interesting events that I don't understand very well.
