This must be my favourite first issue, I seem to write it a lot. Hi - I saw your post over at discuss.ipdfs.io and am interested in collaborating with you on this, and would be interested if we can agree on a SPEC. We are currently discussing the feasibility of doing this for our own project (nodejs and electron based) and I think that the approach you have outlined is really solid. We would contribute a node module that hooks into the API. Maybe we can connect on discuss.ipfs and talk shop...

Sorry, I've been away from coding for a while, but looking to spend some time more on it now. Did you end up working on that nodejs project?
