How to have logseq not format my notes into lists

Hi, I recently tried out logseq and realised that it adds a - or before every line. I do not want it to do that, as its (1) less compatable markdown and (2) ugly with plain text editors, which I still use a lot. I looked around and could not find a setting for it, is it just not a thing?

logseq is an outliner, so that feature is strongly related to its use in that regard.

Shift+Enter will let you write on a new line without a new bullet point. however, it will still be grouped under the parent bullet point (block).

Ahhh, I thought it was just a markdown+org-mode editor and was hoping it would work for me, but if thats the case I don't think it would. Thanks for your reply!
