Hi Xinglin,

Thank you for your outstanding paper and tool!

I'm looking to identify RNA viruses in the metatranscriptome. After using Megahit for assembly, I'm curious if COBRA could be used to improve the quality of contigs.

Best,
Shujie

Hi Shujie,

Thank you for your interest in COBRA.

If your metatranscriptome was sequenced with short paired-end reads, it should totally be ok. I hope this helps.

Best,
Linxing

Hi Linxing,

Thank you for your prompt reply. I apologize for misspelling your name in the previous email! It's reassuring to know that my metatranscriptome, which was sequenced with short paired-end reads, is suitable for use with COBRA. Thanks again for your help!

Sincerely,
Shujie
