We are using mkdocs to build our documentation sites and followed by linkchecker to ensure that the URLs used are valid.
This also happens on pull requests but it has a big problem: when adding new documentation pages the
View source of this page
andEdit this page
links are pointing to the main branch, and the source files do not exist there as the pull request was not merged yet.That is a case of false-positive and I am trying to find a way to getting these, without loosing the effective link checking ability.
The example below happened while adding the
macros.md
new documentation page. As seen, two links to github source are broken but also the sitemap one.All of them count as false-positives, is just the the pull request was not merged yet.
