This is pretty well falling out of the port by default. libxml2 does have dome support for 64bit buffers at least via xmlBuf struct.

Will have a look at 64 bit support, and feasibility of a 64bit upgrade, when done with the basic port. Would be nice to entirely remove this as a limitation.

settle on libxml v2.09.00 as min supported version

In particular 64bit xmlBuf was introduced with this release. Looking
to increase support for this (issue #3).
