Hi,
I tried to use Z3 RAM for the first time.
I carefully chose A4000/040, made sure the 3.1 kickstart is the 4000 version, and yet, workbench and directory opus shows 0 for Fast RAM if I don't put Z2 RAM but Z3. I tried 16MB and 32MB, and both cycle-exact and normal.

Am I missing something here?

Many thanks and cheers,

Vincent

Statusbar shows it here since it gets the values from the emulator, and so does Workbench top bar, and games that need and benefit from the extra also work fine, so beats me.

The Z3 mem indeed shows up in the statusbar, but not in WB, not in Directory Opus, not in Sysinfo. I don't know what I'm doing wrong

More testing, using a 1200 and overriding the CPU with a 68040 makes the Z3 RAM show up!! So maybe the 3.1 4000 kickstart I'm using from Cloanto is faulty?

In any case smells like the issue is with the emulator itself and not this core.

Always check if

  • Log says something
  • WinUAE does the same
