add pop-up date navigation

awesome plugin! I'm coming from Logseq and using the journals-calendar plugin there which works similarly but also offers the ability to click on the month name a get a handy modal that allows easy navigation to by month and year. I often want to go back and look for journal entries on a specific date in the past, or get an overview of a specific month in the past, and that's easy to do in LogSeq but with the current calendar plugin, the only way is to click sequentially to navigate backward and forward by month.

I would like to add the same little pop-up nav. Perhaps we can grab some code from the LogSeq plugin?
