just thought I’d give some info on this section to be added to the wiki

Blending Ranges

To be completely honest, I'm not entirely sure what the blending ranges represent. What I do know is that there are both greyscale and per-channel blending ranges.

This is under the advanced blending options window for each layer. They are also known as “blend-if” sliders. These sliders adjust how much underlying layers are shown “through” the selected layer based on the ranges provided.
You can see the ‘blend-if’ sliders in the screenshot below.

Thanks for the page, by the way. I’m not working in this language however your wiki page is the most straight-forward and easy-to-understand explanation of the psd file spec I’ve found so far.
