Description of the bug
If you use backgroundmusic with the MOTU M4 usb audio interface and its low-latency drivers, and select M$ as output device, the sound is crackling a lot and seems to be up-pitched by one octave (mickey mouse + crackling).

Steps to reproduce

  1. Borrow an M4 Motu Audio Device
  2. Use ARM Mac and macOS 12 or higher
  3. Install MOTU drivers https://motu.com/en-us/download/product/410/
  4. Select M4 as output device in BackgroundMusic

Versions

Please complete the following information.

  • Background Music: 0.4.0
  • macOS: 12.6.1 (21G217),

Hardware
M1 Pro, MacbookPro 16 2021
MOTU M4 USB Audio Interface, latest low latency drivers from 10-2023
