I don't know how the above crash report is generated, but I believe it's what's happening to me as well.

The installation is successful:

$ brew install --cask background-music
installer: Package name is Background Music 0.4.0
installer: Installing at base path /
installer: The install was successful.
🍺  background-music was successfully installed!

And it works for a while, then just like what #709 reported, suddenly there’s no sound at all, and the Menubar icon disappear too. Restarting the app the sound will be immediately off, and quitting it the sound comes back immediately.

but i've uninstalled the app already.
