MPD or Icecast?

Ever thought of using koel as an MPD front-end? I know, different animal, but still...
Icecast would be another option and would probably be easier to integrate (MPD could just listen to the icecast stream).

koel's modern & beautiful interface easily trumps any other web/app based music player I know of (very, very cool, my compliments!). Either option would enable koel to be run headless, say on a pi as a music streamer.
