There are a few events that are created in the svElement directive that retain references to elements after they've been destroyed.
Unbinding them on a $destroy event seems to free things from memory
$scope.$on('$destroy', function(){ html.unbind('mousemove touchmove mouseup touchend touchcancel'); handle.unbind('mousedown touchstart'); });
